- There are always six players on the court at a time, three at the front, three at the back
- You may have three hits per side
- A player may not touch the ball twice in succession
- If a ball is on the line, it is still in
- Ace: A serve that lands on the opponent's side of the court without being touched, or, if it is received, the receive is ineffective and cannot be kept in play.
- Double: When the same player hits the ball twice consecutively. This is not allowed, and will earn a point for the other team.
- Dump: A surprise attack normally done by a player in the front to catch the defense off guard, meant to land in the middle of the court in the spots difficult for the other side to receive.
