Long Responses:
1. BAE is taking care of bees from the American Honey Bee Protection Agency, attempting to protect the bees and allow them to flourish. They keep permanent hives on BAE systems, and harvests about 60 pounds a year. They wish to protect the bees because of how much we depend on their pollination for a lot of our food.
2. A part of 140 acres were used to contribute to helping bees. This is also where they build components for missiles and other military hardware.
3. The TRIGR system is a laser targeting device that looks like a set of high-tech binoculars. They give a decisive advantage in locating targets.
4. There are at least 10 permanent hives on the site on BAE systems property. They yield around 60 pounds of honey a year.
5. The survival of bees is important because we humans depend on their pollinating. We also find honey to be rather useful, ever since humans discovered the first hive of honey.
6. I think this is definitely a worthwhile adventure, and other companies should definitely follow suit. As mentioned above, we really depend on the survival of honey bees, and depend on them pollinating so that we can have food. Every species has a place in this world, and we also very much need their honey. We need to prevent the deaths of honey bees, or we will certainly see drastic impacts on our environment and economy.
