Huntington Story

A gun accident triggered by her dog, Tombo, led Janice Jones to the hospital Wednesday, September 19, at her motor home in Bartow, California. Though the story may have ended there after she had received treatment, her malnourished dog and unlicensed gun raises questions as to whether any charges should be pressed against her.

Ngo said that her office was now exploring the possibility of charging Jones with the crime of animal abuse.

"It could have done with a little less abuse and a few more of those pork chops," Ngo said.

However, in regards to that stray bullet, Jones also may be filed charges because of the illegal handling of a gun that she doesn’t have a license for.

“It could have been worse,” Rye said. “The bullet hit two inches from the gas tank.”

More new will be updated on the case of Janice Jones once more information is released on the consequences of her actions.

“If it weren’t for this accident, Tombo’s life could be at risk, along with the people who live around Jones.” Rye said. “We need to take careful consideration in our next actions.”
